How we keep DailyMoment safe
Safety tools are part of every feature, from moments and messages to Hub meet-ups and Dating. Here's what's in place and how to reach us.
For everyone
Tools every account has
Dating is for adults
Dating needs ID verification and a date-of-birth check. Anyone under the minimum age is turned away automatically.
Block someone completely
Blocking removes someone from your moments, Hubs, messages and Dating. They aren’t told.
Mute someone quietly
Muting hides someone’s moments and messages without removing them. You can undo it, and they won’t know.
Report with clear reasons
Pick a reason and a person on our team reviews it. The most serious reports are handled first.
Dating
Extra protection in Dating
Dating has more safeguards because more is at stake when you meet someone new.
- ID verification and a selfie check before anyone sees you
- Messages are paced on the first day after you match
- A warning when someone shares a phone number and pushes to move off the app
- Every Dating conversation is labelled, so you know where it started
- Location is off unless you turn it on, and unmatching cuts off contact completely
- You can pause or leave Dating at any time
Privacy
We collect less to begin with
Fewer posts, less to store
The daily limit also limits what we collect and host, and so what could ever leak.
No profile of your behaviour
Your feed is in time order from people you chose. Without ranking, there’s no model of what keeps you scrolling.
Ads that respect you
We’re subscription-led. If a brand shows up, it’s native, clearly disclosed, and gone in seven days. It never targets you on private data.

Community guidelines
The short version of our guidelines
Share your own day. Post things you made yourself. Stock photos, reposts and bots aren’t allowed.
Be kind. Disagreeing is fine. Harassment, hate and pile-ons aren’t allowed anywhere, including moments, messages, Hubs and Dating.
Keep it safe. DailyMoment isn’t for anyone under 18. Don’t share sexual content of anyone who hasn’t agreed to it, or anything that puts someone in danger.
Meet in public places. Check in when you arrive and tell someone where you’re going. Hosts, please look after your group.
Report problems instead of retaliating. We review every report, and serious ones are dealt with quickly.
